Before carpet cleaning, whether you are doing it yourself or if you’ve hired a carpet cleaning company, there are a few steps to get the area prepared:
* pick up all area rugs and mats
*remove items from under beds and from inside closets, if the carpets are being cleaned in there
* pick up all small items off the carpet
* remove all small items that are on furniture that will be moved
* move all light furniture from the room
* open windows for cross ventilation and have fans ready to set up
* if you are not able to open lots of windows, turn on your heat or air conditioner

Most of us believe that keeping a carpet in our living room, bedroom or office would avoid deposits of dust on their floor. This concept is ok but what about the carpet, it also needs to be kept free from dirt. Stains of tea, coffee and dust many ways of carpet cleaning have been practiced for last six decades.
