There is a lot of factors that go into bidding cleaning jobs, and commercial jobs are different than residential. Commercial cleaners usually clean every business day, or every other, so the square foot bid is lower because there isn't much to do on a daily basis. Residential cleaning is done weekly or every two weeks so your work is more intense and therefore your charge more. It also depends on how dirty, or how much you will need to do each time.
